A Man’s Life

They say you can tell a lot about a man’s life by his funeral. The
vicar’s words heard only by borrowed pall-bearers, trespassing sheep
and a half-deaf aunt. The aunt described it best on the phone to me;
she’d only gone to my father’s funeral in the hopes of a buffet
afterwards.
